Sarah grew up dancing in Nipawin and completed her RAD Intermediate and Grade 7 ballet exams, as well as CDTA Advanced tap and jazz exams. Throughout her career she has performed in Las Vegas, London, Wales, Netherlands, as well as the Saskatchewan Dare to Dance Company on 3 occasions. This led to numerous awards, scholarships, and workshops to further her dance education. She moved to Saskatoon in 2007 after completing high school to study at the Edwards School of Business through the University of Saskatchewan. Her contemporary dance training flourished at this time with mixOLOGYdancemine, which included a performance for the 2010 Olympic Torch Run. She continued to teach dance in the surrounding communities of Saskatoon during her university career.

After completing her Bachelor of Commerce in 2011, she began teaching full time and pursuing her goal of gaining teaching certifications in dance. Sarah completed her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and is proud to say she entered her first set of ballet exams through the Tisdale Dance Centre. She is also an Associate Member with the Canadian Dance Teachers' Association (CDTA)-Stage Division.

When she is not teaching, she runs her business Sarah Meagan Photography (www.sarahmeagan.ca). She began photographing in 2006, and is happy to have found a second passion through her camera lens.

Our Instructors

Miss Dana is entering her 17th year with the Tisdale Dance Centre. She teaches every style of dance, with hip hop and tap being her favourite. She loves the community of Tisdale and how active our community is. We have motivated kids and families and she appreciates getting to work with them all. Other than dancing with the wonderful kids of the TDC, Miss Dana likes swimming, reading, walking and cleaning. Her favourite times of the dance season are rehearsals and the June exams. Her favourite TDC event is our float in the community parade. She is most proud of her alumni students teaching all over the province and abroad. She is proud of turning out well trained teachers. Miss Dana wishes everyone an inspired, creative, healthy and successful dance season.
